👋 I'm Kate Fullen & I spent three years in Venture Capital at Elkstone before joining Kota's founding team in 2023.
I lead Kota Embed, the part of our business that lets partners in payroll and HR platforms offer Kota's benefits directly to their own customers, without them ever needing to leave that platform. I moved into this role from Chief of Staff, having spent time building the foundations of Embed and onboarding our first customers. I work closely with our product, expansion and benefits teams to bring on new partners.
How much the team balances serious domain expertise and intensity with good humour and high energy: not an easy thing to do. It comes down to the culture we're building: one where people bring their whole selves to work, and have the flexibility to work where and how they need to do their best work.
The bigger we grow, the more power we have to unify benefits for teams across many markets. The problem I want to help solve is managing that growth well, holding onto our start-up culture of ownership even as we scale, without losing efficiency.
